The meadow.

Half Moon looked fondly at the tail-side of her mate. His fur was so glossy and clean. How did he keep it like that constantly? She looked at her fur, it wasn't nearly as perfect. She picked up her bundle of flowers - they were mostly yellow with a couple of red ones. Jayfeather had more red ones and even a blue one. He had followed his nose to the bigger ones; the beautiful ones. Half Moon padded after him, fondness for her mate settling over her like an extra pelt. At least she didn't feel cold.

Jayfeather stopped once, to inhale the sweet scents of the forest from up ahead. He could imagine how it must look; strong, hearty trees with bare branches, doing thier best to survive this leaf-bare. He was glad that he waasn't a loner, forced to face these harsh winter nights alone. He looked at Half Moon, catching up to him. Her paws are so dainty. They hardly make a sound when she walks. In his mind's eye, he could imagine Half Moon - shining like the moon she was named after, glossy and looking like cold frost. He was grateful that she wasn't as cold hearted as her color. "Come on, let's hurry, I'm freezing,"

He didn't add that he was worried about Half Moon catching a cold. He didn't want her to know how often he worried about her. He rasped his tongue over Half Moon's ear as she passed him. "Those flowers smell lovely," he meowed as he picked up his bundle again.

Half Moon padded out of the clearing, heading towards the camp. She felt warm all over, despite the chilly air. It was nice to stretch her legs. She had been in the nursery for nearly three weeks now, and she was glad to be getting some fresh air.

Jayfeather glanced around, his ears pricked at the sound of the wind rushing through the meadow. He turend away and followed after Half Moon.

(By the way, to all that are reading this, we thought - Half Moon and I - that this entry here needed a nice little story. XD I hope you enjoyed it.)

Half Moon emerged into the nursery and snuggled down by her kits. The scent of the meadow clung to her and in her jaws was a bundle of flowers. She placed the flowers on the ground, away from the other queens and thier kits, hoping that they wouldn't get smashed in the night.
