The fresh kill pile.

BirdStar yawned as she awokended at the Nursery, she openeded her eyes to see a heavy layer of snow, up to her neck, coating the ground outside. She stepped out and struggled through the snow, panting as she arrived at an area clear of snow. She dusted her pelt off of the snow and glanced around, the harsh whistling of the cool wind bounced through the air, snow continued to fall, but lighter than the night.

ThunderShock trudged in shivering violently, his whiskers frozen with ice. Dropping a tiny bird onto the pile, he curled up in the middle of the clearing.

BirdStar padded up to him and licked his pelt clean of ice, and snow, and made it warm in a friendly manner. She grabbed a squirrel of the pile, sitting down and eating it, shivering.

He woke up. "Thanks." ThunderShock brushed snow off Birdstar's pelt. "You should stay in the nursery."

RavineHeart padded beside ThunderShock, and nodded. "Please, Mother. Stay inside the nursery.."

He nodded. "It's for the good of you, we'll take care of everything."

RavineHeart padded towards the fresh kill pile and dropped a cardinal.

Thundershock dropped a plump snowshoe rabbit into the pile.
