Sand silently appeared into the clearing, stalking a plump vole. She settled into the hunter's crouch without making a sound. In seconds, the vole was dead and hanging from her jaws. She continued on through the hunting grounds for more prey.

Doveshadow stalked through the forest in a daze. She leaped at Sandstorm, not smelling-or seeing-the she-cat that was her friend. Pinning her down, she blindly, rapidly scraped at Sandstorm's sides, belly, and sometimes her back.

SandStorm snarled, missing the blow to her back, but not sides or back. She hissed and swiped at the shecat's face with sharp, thick claws in defense. "Quit it!" She backed away, growling. "What in the name of StarClan are you doing?!"

Sand padded throught the grasses, only her tail high enough to be seen. She lifted a patch of layed down grass with her nose and snagged a mouse. She purred, carrying the thick mouse lightly in her mouth.
