A couple minutes later, _ Kits were on the sandy ground.

Licks one kits head," Their beautiful"

Drops Some Herbs in the entrance.

"We must move"
She picked up the kits, and moved towards the nursery,

Struggles past the medicine den, snow up to her neck.

ThunderShock padded into the den and collapsed. "I can't feel my pads!" He wailed. "I've only been out since dawn and now it's only sunhigh." He rasped and heaved, licking his feet vigorously.

She collapsed outside of the den in the snow, heaving and panting, snow blanketing her sleek tabby pelt. She then weakly hopped to her paws shakily, and continued to her den.

LeafPool put down her kits.
"Oh my, you MUST not move"
She took some warm moss, and made a small nest.
She swiftly dragged Thunder onto it, warming him up.
"BirdStar?"
She scrurried to her
"Are you alright?"

She nodded weakly, and padded into the medicine den. She nuzzled Leaf's kits and made them all a warm nest out of moss, feathers, and rabbit skin she was carrying. "I'll be fine, but the kits might not, this winter is going to be one of the harshest, LeafPool." She said, concern in her eyes.

She nodded
"I fear for the both of us"

She nods and sighs. "I was so un-prepared, we were having quite nice weather. I should have expected the unexpected. I should have known." She said, frowning.

She sighed
"It was, with all the good weather, I thought it would never come"

She nodded and sighed. "I guess we will have to make the best of it." She said, frowning slightly.

She nodded
"Yes, we shall"

She flicked an ear.

ThunderShock continued licking ice off his pads. "Thank you. BirdStar, I think you need to stay in the nursery and keep your kits warm."

Flowerpaw padded in and scented the air. "Who's my mentor?"

LeafPool sighed, getting up, ready to leave.

Flowerpaw bounded up to her mentor excitedly.

She flicked her tail with sorrow. "Flower... My time served here is over..." She flattened her ears.

Flower stared at her mentor with undisguised sadness and pain. "But..."

"A Med. Cat shouldn't have had Kits..." She hung her head low.

Flowerpaw pushed her nose into LeafPool's fur sadly. "Goodbye."
